George and Ethan take on the Goodwood 5k Inflatable Run to raise funds to develop and enhance Peter Gladwin Primary School's outdoor forest school area. 

The dream is to create a fantastic forest school area surrounded by trees and a willow dome. With this enhanced area, the children will have the opportunity to learn practical and team-building skills during activities such as making tools, foraging, and cooking, whilst exploring nature.

"Research has shown that children can benefit from regular forest school sessions in a multitude of ways ranging from confidence to social, emotional, intellectual, physical and language development." (Murray & O'Brien, 2005)

George (7) and Ethan (5) are both Autistic and whilst this event should be great fun, it will come with many challenges. They watched their Mum take part in a similar event 2 years ago which they thought looked like great fun and wanted to give it a go this year. They will be supported by their family throughout the event and the hope is they will be able to finish the course, even though it will likely take some time :)
