Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A little more about me - My names Charlene, im 25 years old from great harwood in Lancashire. On the 24th July 2019 I suffered a right sided intracranial bleed causing a stroke aged 23, this meant I needed emergency surgery and intensive care, the neuro team at Royal preston saved my life, I recieved the best treatment. Without the guys at Royal preston I would have never have made the recovery I made and recieved the after care I have. They saved my life 😌

To raise money for the Lancashire teaching hospitals charity I have taken a pledge to walk 2 miles per day for the whole of April, so 2 miles per day for 30 days, please note that this will be the most physically challenging event I've done since having my stroke. (The stroke caused me to lose mobility in my left side, I had intensive therapy at rakehead in Burnley where the incredible physios got me walking again). 2 miles a day for 30 days will be incredibly difficult but it's the least I can do when they saved my life and give me another chance at life, it'll be worth it.

Thank you for reading 😇❤
