Kent Surrey and  Sussex station their helicopters at Redhill Aerodrome, which is close to home. I am frequently aware of the helicopters lifting off  (G-KSST Went out on Saturday and G-KSSA went out on Sunday) and I always spare a thought hoping that it is a training flight.

KSSAA do an amazing job and getting patients to the major trauma centres just north of us in Heli time makes a huge difference. 

We raised really significant amounts for KSSAA with the Surtees event at Mercedes Benz World but of course with Johns passing the event is no more so I thought it would be good to continue the tradition.

We all get a lot of these requests now so I’m only going to ask you to donate £5 (but feel free to donate more of this is relevant to you on some way)  but I am going to ask you to do it now before the thought gets swallowed up in your day.

I’m going to be riding 50km around Central London setting off at 23:30 on Saturday night and it’s going to be raining 😣  so please spare me a thought as you get into your nice warm (and dry) bed!
