Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

If you know me you will know or perhaps your don't ,that I have a hearing loss in my left ear caused by childhood trauma , a fall from a great height which at the time and unbeknown to me and my family caused my hearing loss.

It was only when I was attending a audiology appointment with my girlfriend now wife in 2009 that I asked to have a hearing test and found out I have a moderate hearing loss in my left ear. So it turned out we had more in common than what we thought !

Jumping forward a few years marriage and two gorgeous kids my wife as a result of the pandemic set up a campaign to help raise awareness towards an exemption card provided by the government as a result of advice form RNID. This card helped my severely deaf wife navigate a testing time and in turn she went on to help many others , we together wish to help the hard of hearing/deaf community and support RNID in there good work.

If your able to make a donation big or small it would be a real motivational push for me to complete this marathon and a fantastic cause to support, to enable people like my wife to get the support they need in testing times when access for communication is hard.
