Charley’s Marathon Challenge · 26 April 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Charleys JustGiving page.

Having followed Captain Tom’s 100 laps story, we sat down as a family to watch the #OneWorldTogether concert on TV last weekend and Jack, Charley & Amelie were really moved by the stories of what the NHS workers and their families were going through, so much so that they asked us to make a donation to Captain Tom’s page. Charley even offered to contribute from his own pocket money to help support the NHS charities. We asked him how much and he said he wanted to give £100!!

We suggested that he could come up with a challenge of his own and then ask the wider family to sponsor him to try and raise the £100.

Charley liked this idea and decided he would run a Marathon!!!!  We managed to convince him that he should spread the 26.2miles over the course of the week and not to try and do it all at once!!!

So that’s what he’s now doing, a marathon in a week and he is aiming to finish on Sunday 26 April.
