Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.

Story

On Friday 29th October, we (Charlie, James, Andy, William and Ollie) will be cycling 97.4 miles (156.75 km) from Shotley, Suffolk to Brancaster beach, Norfolk to raise money for Brain Tumour Research, in memory of our late Gramps, Peter Hollingsworth. This route is especially sentimental due to our annual summer holidays where the whole family would spend two weeks there, Gramps especially loved sitting on the beach reading his book and having an ice cream. This has motivated us to cycle this special route to honour his memory.

We are hoping that our efforts benefit others by raising money for Brain Tumour Research, which is the only national charity in the UK focussed on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. Our fundraising goal is £2,740 because this amount would pay to cover a day’s worth of research at one of their Centres of Excellence
