Cycling from London to Brighton in aid of Charlie's Challenge · 22 May 2021

Charlie's Challenge raises money to finance urgently needed research into children's brain tumours aiming to provide better treatments for sufferers and eventually to find a cure. With no administration costs, all the money raised is spent on vital research projects vetted by a scientific and medical panel comprising experts from around the UK.

Story

On Saturday 22nd May, 2021, 3 childhood friends, Charlie Boutwood, Will Howes and Will Shipley will be taking on the task of cycling over 55 miles from London to Brighton in aid of the charity, Charlie’s Challenge for Brain Tumour Research.

Having developed a keen interest in cycling during the last year and with the limitations put on fundraising events due to the pandemic, they want to raise as much as they can for a charity that is very close to their hearts.

Charlie’s Challenge was established in 1993 by Charlie’s parents after he was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma brain tumour when he was 20 months old. He went on to make a remarkable recovery.

The 3 friends have been inspired to go all out on their fundraising efforts following an exciting new breakthrough into the research of Charlie’s particular type of brain tumour, which goes to show how important raising money for research is.

Please support them with their challenge and any amount of sponsorship you can give would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
