I’m so happy to say that I will be running the 2023 TCS London Marathon in April for Shelter UK. 

After running previously for Scottish homelessness charity Social Bite, running for Shelter made sense. They do incredible work, fighting for housing rights and safe homes for millions of people. 

There is no time more pressing for Shelter’s work than the current moment, in the midst of a national housing emergency and cost-of-living crisis. To further emphasise their huge impact, their 21/22 report found that their advice and support services were sought out 5.1 million times, with 90% of children helped by Shelter in Bristol and Sheffield declaring that they felt safe and protected in their homes and communities at the end of the support.

It means so much to me to represent such an impactful charity in my fundraising. For every £1 donated to Shelter, 21p is spent on charity fundraising operations and 79p is spent directly on helping people.
