London to Le Mans · 9 September 2022

Charlie's Challenge raises money to finance urgently needed research into children's brain tumours aiming to provide better treatments for sufferers and eventually to find a cure. With no administration costs, all the money raised is spent on vital research projects vetted by a scientific and medical panel comprising experts from around the UK.

Story

Charlie Boutwood alongside the father of his girlfriend, David Goodier and one of his oldest friends, Reece Gosden, will be taking on the challenge of cycling 268 miles from London to Le Mans in September this year in aid of Charlie's Challenge.

Charlie was diagnosed with an aggressive malignant brain tumour when he was just 20 months old. Against the odds, he made a remarkable recovery and now leads a full life thanks to the dedicated care and treatment he received.

Charlie's Challenge was set up in 1993 by Charlie's parents to raise much needed funds for research into Children's brain tumours. It became a charity in 1995 and is a proud member of Brain Tumour Research.

Brain Tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer and yet just 1% of the national research spend on cancer has been allocated to this devastating disease.

Charlie, David and Reece will strive to raise as much as possible for this important cause and would be extremely grateful for any support you can give.

Please donate what you can and help us raise awareness.

Thank you!
