Story
I first travelled to Malawi with the 'Emergency Medicine Malawi Project' to teach in the countries first, true 'Emergency Dept'
I returned to Scotland with a plan to go back for the part of my heart I left there.
At roughly the same time, my daughter Maura was coming to the end of her Nursey days, one morning she broke the monotony of the nursey run by saying 'Daddy, "it's not fair, I'm getting to go to school but girls in Africa don't"
So I set up our charity Maura's Mission, 'to give the most academically gifted pupils, from the poorest families, the chance to realise their enormous potential'
This year, we are raising money to provide solar energy to allow the girls to study in the evenings and keep them safe as they walk to and from study.
Every penny you donate will make a difference, I promise you!
