I took  up cycling when I saw a photo of myself aged 50 looking slightly rotund, and  it`s become something of an addiction.

Having done London 100 a couple of times and other rides i am always looking for a new challenge and when asked if I was interested in the Great Racing Welfare Event I jumped at the chance .Not only is it a huge physical challenge but also a mental one ,to ride 5 Century rides back to back whilst raising much needed funds for Racing Welfare ,who do so much to help those in the industry who haven`t been so lucky.

With the loss of two Lambourn Open Days due to the pandemic, its never been so important to help raise funds .

We will be setting out from Carlisle on August 17th and riding to Newton Abbot over the five days hoping to raise as much as we can , while testing ourselves at the same time.
