Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

Hello everyone, thanks for taking the time to read my page.

My Grandad Michael always played tricks on me and my Nan.

We used to play dominoes &, watch football (the Toon army) and he made me laugh all of the time, I love & miss him very much.

I want to do this challenge in his memory so everything I raise can go to Brain Tumour Research. Hopefully I can help a bit to find a cure for GBM (Glioblastoma Multiform) or "The Terminator" as it is nicknamed. This is the type of tumour that took my Grandad away from me and our family.

I now know that lots of people suffer from brain tumours and it is the number one cancer in children. I hope my fundraising can help in some way.

My challenge is based on the Brainathlon event but I am going to double their distance. In 7 days I will cover the distance of 2 marathons. I will run, walk, cycle & climb 52.4 miles.

Please spare whatever you can to help me reach my target.

Many thanks

From Charlie SS
