Story
In the words of my amazing sister in law.
"24th September 2019 I gave birth to my little boy 18 weeks too early. Arthur was perfectly healthy but unfortunately things went wrong. Because of 4louis we were able to spend 24hours with him before handing our baby to the midwifes. It was heartbreaking, but I thank the charity daily for giving us that time, the memories and a special area in the hospital away from healthy mothers and babies.
During covid 4louis have provided boxes for covid patients and families who unfortunately couldnt be together in there final moments due to hospital restrictions.
So if you have even a couple of pound spare, please donate to an amazing charity and an amazing person/Auntie"
In 2020, the Great North Run went virtual and I decided I still wanted to run and raise money for this wonderful charity. They rolled our places over for a 2021 race and didn't ask anyone to raise anymore money. I decided I wanted to raise £250 in 2020 and £250 in 2021.
4Louis is a charity established in December 2009, following the stillbirth of our own son Louis, to provided tailored memory boxes to various hospital units and hospices across the UK and Ireland. These are provided for families who suffer the trauma of miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal/infant loss, and the death of a child up to the age of 16. We also support midwives and nurses with other vital equipment such as moses baskets, cuddle cots, camera equipment, and support with bereavement suites. 4Louis can also take part in your study days as speakers and can even fund study days if required. All of our services are provided entirely free of charge. www.4louis.co.uk
