Alina homecare care and support people in their own homes, we aim to give everyone the opportunity to remain at home for as long as possible. We have worked alongside some incredible people, who all have some sort of connection and/or an emotional attachment to someone living with dementia. We want to do our part and raise some funds for the the Alzheimer's society, so they can continue to support the people who we care for, our loved ones and their families. We are passionate about dementia care and we want to support a charity close to our hearts.

So, the idea!

We are going to completing a walk from the office in Picket Piece and a round trip past some of our service users homes. We are all walking different distances - starting from 3km to a massive 33km! My manager Jade and I will be taking on the longest route of 33km! We want to be able to do as much as we can, but within our own capabilities!

We are working in teams of 2-3 carers in each - as we all work on different days and unfortunately there is never going to be a time when we can all walk together - we still need to care for the people! We will be aiming to complete our walk within the week of the 04.09.2021 - 19.09.2021!
