Since 1921 Poppyscotland has been supporting Scotland’s ex-Servicemen, women and their families. Whether a veteran is struggling with a life-changing battlefield injury, psychological trauma, financial hardship, homelessness or has turned to substance abuse as a way to cope, we are here to help.

Story

Charlie Pelling and Iain Willis are taking part in the Deloitte “Ride Across Britain” to raise funds for Poppyscotland.  We start the ride on the 11th June at John O’Groats and finish at Lands’ End on 19th.  We will cycle around 100 miles a day and take on all the major ascents in mainland UK on the way.

Poppyscotland (formerly The Earl Haig Fund Scotland) supports ex-Servicemen, women and their families in need in Scotland. The organisation is probably best known for running the iconic Scottish Poppy Appeal, but work continues all year round to help veterans and their families receive the care and support they urgently need. Many veterans struggle to adjust to civilian life and may face a number of issues, including physical, psychological and financial difficulties.  Poppyscotland is there for these veterans and their families, whether it’s now or in the future.  Charlie Pelling runs the Scottish poppy factory that makes all the items for the Scottish Poppy Appeal.  It is based in Edinburgh and employs around 40 ex-servicemen.
