I’m running the great north run for my Dad. These last few years especially have been tough watching my hero suffer with COPD and there’s been some moments where it’s been very touch and go. 

He has always been one of my biggest cheerleaders and number one fan, to be honest I was probably his too. I was lucky enough to get to play Dawn in Waitress in my home town and he was totally gutted to not be able to make it to the theatre to see me because his breathing has declined so much, it wasn’t so long ago that he would have jumped on the first train or got in the car to see me on stage. I want to raise money for Asthma and Lung UK so there is research for our future, for care, family support and because everyone has a right to breath. Please donate!
