We are family and friends of Charlie Mather, who died of cancer on 20 September, 2012. We believe the best way to remember him and to celebrate his love of life is to get together, tell Charlie stories and help others.
Charlie savoured every moment of his life which he lived proudly and well. We miss him so very much.
A charming, deeply thoughtful and well-read man with strongly held views; expressed with intelligence and wit. Debonair and fun, a generous host and cook who loved welcoming family and friends to his home.
Charlie was a passionate lifelong motoring and racing enthusiast who revelled in his eclectic tastes, his love of extrovert dancing and all things Italian.
He is remembered with love, joy and gratitude for his many kindesses and thoughful actions, and for being completely true to himself and to those he loved and cared about.
Cancer will affect one in four people in the UK in many different forms. 325,000 people in the UK are diagnosed each year. It is an awful disease which needs to be beaten.
Let's unite in Charlie's name and support Cancer Research in their search for treatments which kick cancer's ass and save many more lives.
