Charlie Sichel - Marathon des Sables

Marathon des Sables · 13 February 2006
In April, I shall be running the Marathon des Sables with Tom Alexander. Dubbed the "toughest footrace on earth", I shall trek my way across 150 miles of desert in temperatures of up to 50 degress. The race takes part over 7 days, and will require a combination of endurance, madness, and sheer stubbornness.
So why subject ourselves to such pain? Agreeably, there is an element of madness, but fundamentally the aim is to raise in excess of £10,000 for the Treloar Trust. To achieve this, I would be most grateful for any support you might be able to offer.
For 100 years, The Treloar Trust has been providing first class education, therapy, medical support and trainingin independence for young people with physical disabilities in a caring and supportive environment. The aim of the Trust is to give students at both Treloar School and Treloar College, both based in Alton, Hampshire, the opportunity to develop their confidence and skills to enable them to achieve their potential in all aspects of life.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Treloar Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
If you'd rather pay by cheque, please make the cheque payable to "Charlie Sichel - MDS", and send to 6 Kenyon Mansions, Queens Club Gardens, London, W14 9RN.
