Charlie Was Here

This October marks two years since we lost our sweet boy, Charlie. Two years since our routine 20 week antenatal scan, where my partner Paul and I were given the earth-shattering news that our son Charlie was affected by a rare and fatal condition.
The day we received this news was the very worst of our lives. To go from joyful nursery purchases to funeral arrangements in the same week felt utterly incomprehensible, yet somehow we had to cope, plan and prepare to say goodbye to our beautiful baby boy.
Thankfully, we discovered ARC (Antenatal Results & Choices)- a charity specifically set up to help and support couples like us who've received devastating news at their routine antenatal scans and tests. Left with nothing more than seemingly endless, impossible decisions to make, ARC was there to help us make sense of it all and keep moving forward.
ARC is run by just a few lovely ladies and a handful of volunteers. They doesn't charge any kind of fee as this allows everyone to have access to its support services, but those services don't come for free.
With all this in mind and how valuable ARC has been to us, we really want to give something back to this amazing charity. If you are able to donate to help keep this exceptional work going, it would mean the world to us, and to Charlie.
Charlie was born sleeping to two proud, devastated parents on Wednesday 21st October 2015, at 23 weeks. Once he arrived, we were able to hold our handsome son and spend time with him.
Charlie brought us some of the happiest and most touching times. For this we feel incredibly fortunate. He is our little boy and we will celebrate him always.
Thank you so much for your support xx
