My Dad was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer nearly 6 years ago now.

We have been on this roller coater as a family and faced everything that Cancer brings with it. The journey has been incredibly difficult, but through everything we have had to face my Dad has remained forward thinking, positive and a complete inspiration to me. 

In 2020 my Dad decided to set up 'The Cancer Club', despite dealing with ongoing treatment and the struggles of advanced stage cancer. The charity focuses on bringing men together who are in a similar situation in order to get them talking.

Ultimately I am running this half marathon for my incredibly strong Dad, and to raise money and awareness for 'The Cancer Club' so that others going through this horrible disease have more support.
