My nanna was diagnosed with bowel cancer in december 2009 she went through 6months of chemotherapy. But 2months into her chemo she had a fall which fractured a bone in her neck so her chemo went on hold until the bone had healed. She then continued her chemo and did so well throughout, that at the end about june time 2010 she had a scan and we found out the cancer was dormant.

But then in october time it also revealed that my nanna had a clot on her lung so she then had to have daily injections into her stomach for a further 6weeks.

Just after christmas 2010 my nanna became bed bound this is when Treetops nurses came in to care for my nanna they relieved my grandad so he could see to his canaries and go shopping, but because there was so many people needing help the nurses couldn't always be there this is where my mum and my aunty took it in turns to do night shifts to also help my grandad out.

Then on 12th february 2011 myself, my mum and grandad were all by my nannas side when she peacefully passed away.

I will continue to raise money, i am so close to raising a grand total of £2,000 in 3years i am so pleased and without my friends and family i wouldnt have been able to get this far, my nanna would be so proud.
