Age UK needs your help to support older people during the coronavirus outbreak.

With the Government’s recommendations for social distancing for people over 70, Age UK’s services have never been more in demand.

We’re working hard to ensure our vital information, advice and befriending services can continue to safely help the older people who are reaching out to us during these deeply worrying times.

The Age UK Advice Line has seen an unprecedented number of calls since the crisis hit, peaking at an 88% increase in demand.

The Silver Line 24/7 Helpline, our partner charity, which helps to tackle loneliness and isolation and receives 500,000 calls per year, has seen demand increase up to 31% since the outbreak of coronavirus.

Our telephone befriending services support over 3,500 older people weekly, and we've recently seen demand for this service increase by 290%.

In communities across the UK, older people are relying on their local Age UK to provide practical support with food supplies and much more.

We’re determined to be there for older people who need our help and especially those who have no one else to turn to, but we desperately need your support.

We are aiming to raise £10 million to help us be there at this time of national crisis.

If we find that the needs of older people change during this emergency or we raise more than £10 million we will apply any money raised to where the needs are greatest.
