Next summer I will be travelling to Hue in Vietnam in to work in a orphanage for six weeks, teaching English to Vietnamese children which will greater there future prospects and help the economy of the country. Whilst there I will also be teaching the children to swim which is a vital skill as the city Hue floods regularly.

In order to do this I need to raise £2000. Obviously some of this will go towards the costs of getting me to Vietnam but  good chuck of the money raised will go directly to Hue Help. This is a great charity based in Vietnam who support the orphanage (Home of Affection) and many other causes throughout Vietnam. They provide the children with an education, run a mobile health clinic and help the children with swimming lessons, among other things. The money goes to the poorest communities in the region.

I'm going to be spending the rest of this academic year attempting to achieve the massive total. I plan to do this with many sponsored events such as cake sales and club nights. I will also be walking Bogle in March which is a 55(!) mile walk through the night organised by Manchester RAG.

Any donations would be amazing, as would support for any events I organise. This is a massive amount of money to raise and is pretty daunting but I'm hoping lovely people like you will be able to help :)
