Firstly, a massive thank you for clicking to have a look at what I am doing.

On November 23rd 2014 I received a text simply asking if I would consider doing a sponsored cycle ride to raise funds for An All Weather Pitch at Hatties school. The title 'Pitch to Pub' won me over. I INSTANTLY replied 'I'm in'. Understanding the start was from the proposed site of the pitch at Hatties school in  Woodhall it begun to dawn on me how far away was the pub?..........'83.6 miles... in Norfolk' came the answer! Not being a cyclist, I have been training ever since!!!!!!

So here I am on the 9th of May with 13 days left to go........

For those of you who know me well will know how I have used exercise in the last 5 years to help keep my mental health in check. On my lowest of days even a quick run makes a massive difference to my mood, self motivation and self esteem. 

Roly,  my self, friends and family have all noticed the affect of daily sporting activity on Harriet's mood since she begun attending St Hugh's School. Her mood is brighter, she is more attentive and engaged in general. In short, much happier. 

I am passionate about sport and sporting facilities because of the over whelming health benefits both physically and mentally they can offer.

An all weather pitch will allow the children to be outside in the fresh air, learning new skills, having fun, working within a team and as individuals, fostering good self esteem and encouraging health and fitness now and FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES. It is a huge financial project and it really is true, every little helps!
