Thank you for helping patients at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, young and old, get the best possible care. With your support, we can fund pioneering research, the latest cancer treatments & vital services - ranging from new innovations to the special touches that help to change lives.

Story

Nichola Jayne Warburton was first diagnosed with breast cancer on December 21st 2010. She went through numerous treatments of chemo, overcame her fear of needles for continuous blood tests, underwent courses of radiotherapy, learnt to swallow tablets and always managed to keep a smile on her face.

She was the life & soul of the party, bald, wigged or bandana-ed. She was the first one on the dancefloor (even when she had to be wheeled there).

On December 21st 2015, Nichola Jayne Warburton lost her battle with cancer. In memory of her spirit (or stubbornness) to never give in we are abseiling Liverpool Cathedral. In thanks of the fantastic care & support provided by the Clatterbridge Centre of Oncology, we are hoping to use this opportunity to fundraise for the charity to ensure the high standard of care is received by all.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

By donating to this event, my Liverpool Cathedral Abseil, you are helping to deliver pioneering cancer care to patients.

1 in 2 of us will be affected by cancer, but with your help we can be at the forefront of cancer treatments, and we can fund vital research, the latest therapies, and innovations in cancer treatment.

We are so often told that The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is unlike any other hospital. The Charity has funded a range of projects which help to to make Clatterbridge a place that stays in people’s hearts, including bringing cancer treatment closer to patients’ homes and breaking boundaries by becoming the first in the UK to offer a number of treatments.
