Story

Last year during my A2 exams I was diagnosed with an Eating Disorder initially by my GP who was very supportive and managed to get me referred to the specialist Eating Disorder unit which was; Rharian Fields. Only a week after receiving my A-Level results did I become a day patient at Rharian fields entailing daily (sometimes twice daily) blood work and ECG's for the first 10 days . The help that I received from the staff and other service users was phenomenal. Thankfully, I can now say that these other service users are now good friends.

During, my admission at Rharian fields I learn't much more about the negative implications of a dangerously low BMI. The most significant to myself was the risk of osteoporosis as it could have meant that I would never ride again, some thing that I have aways done since the age of 3! Therefore, I thought that it'd be fitting to do a sponsored ride totalling around 85KM over 2 days. I will be setting off on Sunday 26th July from the Derbyshire end of the Pennine Bridleway completing 42KM on day one and finishing at Rushop Hall. Then on the 27th we will be travelling back the way we came over the rocky terrain, 42KM to where we started.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and I would love to raise as much as possible, in order to show my appreciation and gratitude to the service and staff at Rharian fields. The work that they do is fantastic, it allows people to start rebuilding their lives and improve their futures.
