Last year, after a long break from running and two children I agreed to take on the challenge of a half marathon for this wonderful charity and in particularly their Wild Minds Project.

Those that know me know that I’d much rather be eating chocolate or drinking wine.  I remember scoffing at a friend just last summer when she invited me to join her morning run when we were at a spa break- she quickly found me reclining with a Buck’s Fizz.,   However this is a worthy enough cause for that to be tamed (slightly)! 

Connected Planet hold a special place in my heart.  Set up soon after Ted was born it’s really hammered home the connection our children should and need to have with their environment.  Whether that be in a city kid learning about their local natural environment and making fat balls for winter birds, to kids on the outskirts of some of the most amazing  national parks in Africa- yet who have never been into them- until now.  Ensuring children know and enjoy the natural environment is the only way they’ll want to care for it in the future.  

So please do sponsor me in raising money for this wonderful charity so that they can continue their phenomenal work and in turn enable our children and planet have healthier lives.
