Story
My name is Charlotte Fordham, I am sixteen years old and I am planning to walk the South Downs Way this August. It is 160 Km long (100 miles). I decided it would be a great opportunity to raise money for a charity that is close to my heart; St. Bridget’s, Leonard Cheshire Disability in Rustington. My dad works with the residents there and I have visited many times before, including volunteering in their charity shop last summer. It is such a wonderful place to be, the residents are all such lovely people and the home deserves as much support as possible to continue to care for the residents in the way that they do. Coronavirus has had a huge impact on all of our lives but the disabled people who St. Bridget’s cares for have been particularly hard hit, they have had to stay isolated from the outside world and those they love for a substantial amount of time in order to best protect them from the virus. Through walking the South Downs Way, I hope to raise over £200 to go towards helping St. Bridget’s to continue to bring a smile to all of the resident’s faces. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your support.
All money I raise will go directly to St Bridget's in Rustington.
