Story

In memoriam - Charlotte 'Lottie' Dingle

You fill my thoughts
with memories
of many moments, drifted
I try to catch your words in order
listening for whole sentences
of wisdom, being sifted.
So genuine, so vital,
so passionately gifted.
But I cannot
for losing you
has made me feel so brittle
so distraught, so little.
A needle in a haystack
time has shifted.
Maybe in the fullness of some future
I hear again,
and finally, be lifted
But in the mean,
hell
I would ride a million tidal waves
and give a world away
If only I could be with you
for just another day
Babe
for just another day
I love you; I love you; I love you, my darling
And I will miss you so

LEE -X-

I first met Charlotte back in 2008 through our mutual friend Dave Morrison. (R.I.P) Lottie & I started dating in late 2019. We were together until her passing on Saturday, December 10th. We had spoken just two days before, and her last words to me -I love you, babe. We were soulmates, and I am just lost.

I will miss Charlotte forever. The most beautiful soul that I have ever met. I will miss our deep conversations & dancing into the early hours.

Rest in peace, darling girl -X-

Lottie was creative with a loud personality. Sometimes she would have me in hysterics with tales of her exploits.

A freelance journo/artist/illustrator/designer/editor. From 2009 to 2011, Lottie was the editor for g3 magazine. In 2013 she became editor of Freedom Press. Lottie founded her bisexual magazine Biscuit in 2014.

Lottie took her MA in Creative Writing at Brunel University. She wrote a piece of historiographic metafiction about the Sumerian High Priestess and princess Enheduanna the first person in recorded history to sign their name to their written work.

Lottie's novel is planned to be published in the new year.

Lottie has written for Cosmopolitan & DIVA, among many others. Her writing is original and unique. She was a big part of LGBTQI activism and raising awareness of bisexuality and bi+ issues. Lottie was a powerhouse within the LGBTQI community.

Lottie often performed her poetry at Open Mic.
She was so imaginative and special, there are some people you only meet once in a lifetime. Lottie never lost her passion for art/music & Kate Bush!

Artwork by Lottie is available online, and we plan to get it exhibited soon.
