Story
On the 11th September, I will be abseiling down St Thomas' Hospital overlooking the Houses of Parliament and the River Thames. I will be attempting to break the world record of the fastest 160ft descent down St Tommy’s face first.
If you've ever wished to witness history being made - this is your chance! 😉
I am fundraising for Guy's and St Thomas' Cancer Centre Charity. Every penny I raise will support expert care, life-saving research and specialist equipment that transforms the lives of our patients and NHS staff.
Having spent a year working in the centre, it’s holds a very special place in my heart, seeing everyday the invaluable work the department does. I've witnessed the way in which our staff stepped up at one of the most difficult times in our history – working tirelessly, under immense stress, to tackle the pandemic.
A donation from you today will have a massive impact on care for patients and staff alike. For example, donations will go towards:
- Supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of our NHS staff, who are battling fear, anxiety and exhaustion to tackle this pandemic
- Contributing to the Samaritan Fund that offers one-off support to the most underprivileged patients - this fund is a lifeline for parents of young children who need long term specialist care at Evelina London as well as vulnerable patients across adult services
- Helping hospital services to keep running so patients can continue to receive vital care and support safely
- Bringing comfort to coronavirus patients in hospital and when they return home
- Providing vital funding for the development of the new specialist Head & Neck Cancer Centre.
Please donate whatever you can - it is appreciated immensely.
