Acorns Skydive is back in 2019. Take the plunge and take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity, while raising money for Acorns to continue to support children with life limited and life threatening conditions on 30th March 2019.

Story

Acorns Children's Hospice is a registered charity offering a network of care for life limited and life threatened babies, children and young people & their families, across the heart of England. The children and young people that Acorn's help are not expected to reach adulthood and require specialist care 24/7. In the last year Acorns has supported 876 children and 1097 families, including those who are bereaved.

My epilepsy warrior Oscar-Ray has a life limiting condition along with medical & complex needs. He fights so hard every single day and we use Acorns Hospice in Walsall so that I can have the respite which is needed just like "ordinary " moms need a break. Acorns hospice is a safe place where I can leave my son in the hands of qualified nurses who adore my son just as much as me and who are absoutley incredible providing the care Oscar-Ray requires. The hospice helps families like myself and Oscar-Ray more than anyone realises and with it being charity base with no funding from the government there is now threats of acorns hospice in Walsall being shut down, I can not express the impact it will have on hundreds of families and it's now down to us to donate and fund as much money as we can to save and keep Acorns open.

Acorns hospice is a huge part of mine and Oscar-Rays life, a place that we would be lost without. From the bottom of my heart thank you so so much to everyone who has been kind enough to donate so far, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can you guys help me go above and beyond and save a place that truly deserves to stay open.

1. On average, every month, five of the children they care for will die

2. It costs almost £10 million a year to run the care services in their hospices and the community, providing care for children and support for families

3. It costs £35 to fund ONE hour of a short break for a child in a hospice

So again, please can I ask for 2 minutes of your time to follow the link and donate £1, anymore would be a huge help and a massive thank you from myself.
