We operate emergency helicopter services to make bereavement through trauma rare.

Story

My teenage friend’s life was saved by the extraordinary self-sacrifice and skill of the Air Ambulance doctors after the vehicle she was a passenger in was hit by a road-racing driver on a Chesterfield road. I learnt that, not having a night-vision helicopter at the time, the team had to drive at breakneck speeds by road to get to the scene in time to save her. It inspired me to write George’s Bumble, with Cassia Haughton illustrating, to raise funds and awareness for the wonderful people on the frontline of this amazing charity. Having lost my first husband in a tragic road accident, I know firsthand how essential the work of this charity is. - Charlotte
