StreetDoctors trains young people affected by violence how to be lifesavers, including what to do if someone is bleeding or knocked out. Our movement of young healthcare volunteers empower 11-25 year olds across the UK to make more informed decisions & become StreetDoctors in their communities.

Story

On the 1st May 2022, we (Charlotte and Brittani) are running the Great Birmingham Run Half Marathon.

Our fundraising will support the amazing work of ‘StreetDoctors’. This national charity is a movement of young healthcare volunteers to train and empower young people to save lives and increase their understanding of the physical and psychological consequences of carrying a knife.

StreetDoctors have trained 20,000 young people since 2013. Following on from training, 95% of young people say they understand the consequences of violence.

Please help us support this charity. Just £30 could enable a young person to be trained in how to respond to a medical emergency, as well as raising awareness of the impact of violence.

This is in memory of our beloved friend, Jack Donoghue. We hope this fundraising can help to stop anyone else being affected by the devastating impact of knife crime.
