As many of my friends will know, the most courageous man I know, my twin brother Chris, lost the most courageous woman I know, his girlfriend of 10 years Kate to cancer on her birthday on October 31st last year.

Previous to this we lost our beautiful nan, Rose, to cancer on September 14th 2008.

It just goes to show that this devastating illness can take anyone - young, old, good, bad, fit or not. 

But it needs to stop!!

I am 'running' the Pretty Muddy Race for Life on July 12th with Rebecca Dunmore in memory for Kate,  Nan and anyone else who has ever had the misfortune of being affected by this condition. 

I appreciate that £500 could be quite steep...but whats the price of saving a life
