Team: DUCFS 2022 Fundraiser

DUCFS 22 Model Fundraiser · 26 November 2021

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

Time to decide if the boys can hold their own in a netball match against the girls this January at Maiden Castle, Durham!

Sammy Smith, Annabel Hosking, Tommy Machin and I have organised a Boys vs Girls netball match in aid of Teenage Cancer Truston behalf of Durham University Charity Fashion Show - DUCFS and we would love you to get involved through playing, donating, or both! Just drop any of us a message if you would like to play! To friends and family far and wide who won't be in Durham for the match, any donations would still be hugely appreciated for this incredible cause!

In 2022, Durham University Fashion Show is dedicating proceeds to Teenage Cancer Trust with a specific focus in the North East of England. Similarly to many other charities, TCT has been significantly impacted by the outbreak of COVID-19 and all donations will be instrumental in helping support young people suffering from cancer. The specialised nursing care and support offered by TCT puts the needs of young people first and strives to help those facing cancer deal with all the challenges accompanying it. #NotOk is a cancer and mental health campaign focusing on the mental health impacts experienced when facing cancer. The campaign is helping fill in the gaps where young people with cancer are unable to access the mental support needed. This year, all members of the DUCFS exec are partaking in different fundraising projects from October to raise as much as possible for this incredible cause.

See you on court!
