Santa Dash 2014 · 14 December 2014 ·

The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well. Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £5m we need each year to fund our free care.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In October I ran 5 miles though mud and obstacles for the Hospice of St Francis in a Tutu (thanks if you sponsored me for that and helping me raise £500) ...... and now I am going to run, bimble, stagger in a Santa Outfit for 2.5 miles in the middle of December - brrrr!

Why? The Hospice do an incredible job in not only helping those in their last months, weeks, days  and hours- but also their families in their darkest times too. My friend Stephanie Askem passed away last year whilst being cared for by the amazing team at St Francis - and it is for her that I run like a loon in a Santa Suit!  It's no Mud Pack Challenge - but every penny will help so donate 50p, £1, £2 - whatever you can in between your usual festive spending. I thank you xxx
