Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running a half-marathon around Grafham Water for Amantani UK, a charity founded by a friend of mine from school. Any donation you can spare would be hugely appreciated.

Amantani UK is a fantastic charity, which was founded in 2008. Many of the children who live in the region of Ccorca, Peru, have to walk up to 8 hours a day just to get to school. In order to overcome this Amantani UK set up boarding houses, which have changed the lives of 64 children, many of whom escaped terrible conditions at home. The schools provides an inter-cultural and relevant education, helping young people to acquire local skills and values as well as the skills, attitudes and knowledge that they need in order to take advantage of the modernisation of their district rather than fall victim to it.

I am hoping to raise enough money to keep a girl in one of Amantani’s boarding schools for a year.

Donating through Just Giving is simple is fast and totally secure whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please sponsor me as much as you can and support Amantani UK. Thank you!
