We provide expert care and support to young people with cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June 2019 Lulu Blundell was diagnosed with a rare type of bone cancer - Ewing's Sarcoma. She has, and her family have endeavoured to face the challenges that the diagnosis brought with dignity, strength and smiles. And they continue to do so.

A charity that has helped them on their journey however, is The teenage Cancer Trust - whose work ensures that teenagers and young adults have the support they need when coping with a cancer diagnosis. This work includes dedicated 'units' within hospitals, specialists nurses and healthcare professionals and experts in the emotional health and wellbeing of young people.

They are committed to ensuring no young person faces cancer alone.

Without donations they would be unable to fulfil this promise. In recognition for their work I am completing The Shere Multi-Terrain 21k Trek on the 13th August 2022. I hope to raise funds for this important charity, who have made a huge difference for a family I have become so very close with.

In the upcoming weeks we attempt to complete the Great North 5k, this is lead by Lulu. She will be supported by so many of her family and friends either completing or waiting at the finish line. We have combined forces, attempting to reach a new target, if you have time head over to our team page and read Lulu’s inspirational story!…….
