Story

Charlton Upbeats Day is back in 2016 bigger and better!

Helping raise funds and awareness for the Charlton Athletic Community Trust (CACT) Down syndrome project, the day consists of a new and improved 9 mile walk from the CAFC training ground to The Valley, led by Charlton legends and assisted by accredited walking volunteers.

Taking place on April 16th, the day coincides with Charlton Athletic home fixture against Derby County. The walking groups will set off at 9am from Sparrows Lane, before arriving at The Valley 9 miles and 3 and half hours later. All participants will then have an opportunity to support the Upbeats in a curtain raiser fixture against Derby County's Down syndrome team, before watching Charlton Athletic in their Championship fixture at 3.00pm.

Included for participating:

- 9 mile walk from Sparrows Lane to The Valley.

- Charlton Upbeats walking T-shirt.

- Charlton legend to lead your walking group.

- 50% off Charlton Athletic vs. Derby County* with all proceeds from these discounted tickets being donated back to The Upbeats.

Walkers are encouraged to raise at least £50 for their involvement, helping CACT reach their goal of £20,000 for the project.

CACT want to know about your commitment to the walk via social media. You can do this by tweeting a photo of your trainers to @CAFCTrust, using the hashtag #SupportheUpbeats and sharing the following link to encourage donations.

*Walkers will receive a promo code Charlton Athletic vs. Derby County tickets are on sale.
