The lives of 1 in 3 people are disturbed by cancer at some point - a fairly shocking statistic. Having family members and friends who have been affected by cancer of different types, I am determined to do my bit to help, and I am motivated to go about this in an active way. Studying Biomedical Science at university has really opened my eyes to the brilliant advances that have been/are being made in the field of cancer.

I have chosen to run this half marathon for Pancreatic Cancer UK because I am completely behind their Campaign for Hope. This aims to double pancreatic cancer survival rates in the next 5 years - the prospect of which is something I find really exciting.
