I am running the London Marathon 2024 in memory of my Uncle Karl! On the 22nd April 2023 my uncle was tragically killed in a motorbike accident. The air ambulance service attended the scene and it holds such a special place in mine and my families heart. This accident happened the night before I ran the 2023 London Marathon. This made me determined to run the marathon again in honour of him and to do him and this charity proud.

East Anglian Air Ambulance receives no regular government funding and relies entirely on the support of the community.The crews are tasked an average of 7 times a day across the two bases, with each mission costing in the region of £3,750. They can reach anywhere in the region within 25 minutes when every second can make the difference to a patient in their time of need.
