Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Matt Asher, Will Asher and I are going to try and finish the Peak District Triathlon at Chatsworth House in aid of Age UK Rotherham. There is a sprint triathlon but we're doing the full/Olympic distance. This consists of a 1.5km swim, 42km bike ride followed by a 10km run! We've never done anything this demanding before but we're completing the course for a very worthy cause: Age UK (Rotherham)
Our Grandma suffered from dementia in the late stages of her life and it made her last days confusing and uncomfortable. Dementia affects millions of people worldwide to varying degrees: The structure and chemistry of the brain become increasingly damaged over time. The person's ability to remember, understand, communicate and reason gradually declines.
Age UK in Rotherham is a charity providing a variety of services within the community and support people like our grandma when illnesses like dementia and Alzheimer's threaten to take their independence completely.
They helped the last few days of our Grandma's life more comfortable and is a charity we feel strongly about. It'd be amazing if you could support this charity - in return we'll do our best Mr Darcy impressions in the lake at Chatsworth..... (or you can donate to keep the impressions at a minimum!).
Seriously, it's a great cause and we'd really appreciate your support.
