Story
Right, as you will know I'm going through Chemo for 9 weeks starting 7th Jan 2019, to blitz some enlarged lymph nodes following my testicular cancer diagnosis last October.
The Christie Hospital is a phenomenal place, and are keeping me alive to put it bluntly. That makes you feel like giving something back. I'm a regular there at the moment and see the great job it does day in day out.
My physical condition won't be so great during the treatment, so I've signed up for a very hilly 100 mile cycle ride on 29th Sept 2019. Those that know me will know that wouldn't usually be a major challenge. However, getting back to the physical state to get that done, in a fairly short time will be a massive challenge. Not just the 100 miler itself, but all the training to get there. I'm also doing the Great Manchester Run on 19th May, which is a bit of a push given my last Chemo was on 8th March, but I'm up for the challenge.
I'll do other things along the way, and I'll aim to raise £4,000.
