I am passionate about education for girls and economic advancement for women.  I joined The Lotus Circle to support The Asia Foundation's initiatives to provide economic, social and political opportunity for women in Asia.  Funds raised here directly fuel girls' education, women's economic sufficiency as well as stability for families in Asia. I believe that when women are empowered, families and communities together grow stronger.  Your generous donation addresses critical issues for women across the continent, including:

• $500 provides relief kits (food stuffs, soap, masks) to 50 migrant families in India devastated by COVID-19
• $850 allows a female university student in Cambodia to continue her studies virtually 
• $3,500 supports a female lawyer in Laos to pursue a two-year legal training program, required to practice law
• $5,000 funds a 24-hour counseling hotline for Mongolian women entrepreneurs, advising on how to develop, pivot and grow their businesses; 385 calls fielded over seven months, more than double the usual volume
• $10,000 funds a NGO in Laos serving vulnerable women to generate income by producing and selling dyed textiles for local and international markets
