Sheffield Chinese Christian Church (SCCC) is the church I’ve been going to throughout my time in Sheffield. The church building is a beautiful and welcoming place, but it’s very very old and needs some renovating in the structure and the interior.  So I will be running the Sheffield Half Marathon this year alongside my dear friends in hopes to raise funds for our church building renovation! 

This church has been a big part of my life for as long as I have been in Sheffield. The Christ centered community in this church has continued to help in my journey of following Jesus. Not to mention some of the dearest friendships formed with the people of this church, that have made my time in Sheffield some of the best of my life. I really do thank God for having blessed me with this community, and I’ve been shown the love of Christ countless times by the people here! So I want to help in this endeavor to raise funds, to further continue this church’s mission of being able to share the gospel and the love of Christ, to more people! 

This is my first ever half marathon, and in the process of preparing for it, I’ve been able to run alongside the best company, overcoming not only new personal distance records, but also some of the most insane weathers to run in (freezing cold temperatures, depressing rain, even SNOW!). That being said, there isn’t a better group of folks I’d rather run with, and the journey leading up to it has been nothing but pure joy ❤️ (and a lot of sweat). Praise be to God for enabling us to run even through tougher days, and for keeping us safe throughout :)
