Story

In January I set myself a goal that I'd attempt a 10k around my big birthday in September. I couldn't run the length of myself! I have trained myself to run and can now manage 5k, but I have a gooood bit to go! But I'll do it, however slow!

I'm totally blessed to have my two crazy little boys, but through my ARTventurers classes over the last few years, I've met many parents who have suffered loss.

Karyn and Andrew are two of my longtime parents and have become good friends, and I'd like to help contribute to their goal to have a Tree of Tranquility installed here in Gourock.

Donations of any amount, no matter how small, are very welcome!!!

And a bottle of wine at the finish line wouldn't go amiss either! 🤣

I'll do my best!

Thank you!

SiMBA is here to support anyone who has suffered the loss of a baby during pregnancy or close to the time of birth. We offer a range of support and services; We donate Memory Boxes to help families to gather precious items of the time that they have to spend with their baby. We refurbish Family Rooms giving families and peaceful homely place in the hospital to spend time with their baby. The SiMBA Trees of Tranquillity are stunning hand crafted, life sized sculptures, made from re-cycled metals. The trees are adorned with individual leaves with which each represent a baby and can be engraved with a personal message. Adding a leaf onto our Tree of Tranquillity shows parents that they are not alone in their loss and acts as a place to remember and reflect. (Picture is of Glasgow Tree of Tranquillity). We also offer monthly bereavement support groups across Scotland, 24 hour online support and we organise family friendly awareness events throughout the year.
