Story

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.

On 3rd October 2021 I will be running the virgin London marathon with my running partner Natalie warnock. I have decided to run for the British heart foundation in memory of my Kev ❤️ Tomorrow 16th June should of been our 20th wedding anniversary, I won’t be celebrating with Kev as he passed away suddenly on 18th April 2011, he had a heart attack after coming home from playing football, his post mortem stated aortic heart disease, this was undiagnosed, he was a fit and healthy 38 year old. We had 3 young children and another on the way, devastated does not even come close to describing how kev dying so suddenly hit me and our children, we were happily married enjoying life with our growing family, Our 4th baby was born 6 months after Kev died on 11/11/2011( Remembrance Day) Lily has never met her daddy but she knows how amazing he was. It has taken me the last 10 years to build myself back up on the inside to the strong person I am today as I was and still always will be heartbroken. Kevs memory drives me to be the best mum I can be to our children to make sure they still have happy memories of growing up and thinking of him gives me the strength to face this challenge head on and smash it. 26.2 miles I will run with kevs memory with me to keep me going when it gets tough .

The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
