Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

Every year, hundreds of you show your support by kindly donating Easter eggs to Chestnut Tree House for local children and families.

We are always overwhelmed by this generosity, but this year, Chestnut Tree House is unable to accept donations of Easter eggs or other confectionery. This is due to the safety measures we have put in place to protect our children, their families, our volunteers and staff during the Covid-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

These are unprecedented times we all find ourselves in, and we are so grateful for your continued support. If you are in the position to do so, we would like to ask you to consider an alternative to giving Easter eggs – a donation to help care for local children and families, regardless of the time of year.

If you have already collected Easter eggs, perhaps you could check with your local food bank to see if they are able to offer them to families in need at this difficult time.

Thank you for your support.
