We need your help to nurture over 15,000 children, young people and adults, who have experienced increased isolation in the last year. Over 60% experience disadvantage and rely on us for their wellbeing.

Story

At Chickenshed, we LOVE dancing! And we want to share our passion with you on Saturday 9th October when we will be streaming our dance-a-thon LIVE from the famous Chickenshed Dance Studio.

There is literally something for everyone - why not try something new or rope in your friends and family?

Dancing releases endorphins and these sessions will relax, inspire and energise you as we head into Autumn.

All donations from our Dance-a-thon will go towards our Sunflower Appeal - helping children, young people and adults experiencing isolation in our community to feel accepted, valued and empowered.

  • Tune in to our livestream on this page between 10am - 6pm to take part in whichever sessions you like. 

  • Donate whatever you can on this page - suggested donation £5 per session drop-in or £25 towards the whole day! 

SCHEDULE

10-11am      Tales Time - join Loren and friends as you and your little ones learn the "Funky Monkey", "Lion Down" and all your favourites from "Tales from the Shed".
 
11-12noon       TikTok - need new Tiktok inspo? You will find and fine-tune it here! With Bethany, Demar, Dina and Michael!

12-1pm         Sign language and movement – Join Rachel our Space Between Us Director and two members of this intergenerational community company -Alex and Shamima, bringing a song to life through signing and movement.

1-2pm         Musical theatre Moments - Sing and dance along to some classic musical theatre hits! With Bethany, Demar, Dina and Michael.

2-3pm        The One With The Routine - Friends inspired fun dance session where you'll get the chance to learn Ross and Monica's iconic 'routine'. Grab a 'friend' and join the silliness of this comedy partner routine. 

3-4pm        Contemporary - Feel the beauty and expression of movement in this lucid dance artform. With Bethany, Demar, Dina and Michael.

4-5pm        Carnival Time! Have you ever danced to Soca music? Now is the time to get down and experience this true party atmosphere all from the comfort of your own home! With Bethany, Demar, Dina and Michael.

5-6pm        Lindy Hop Finale - Bringing you the explosive joy of jive to round off this epic dance day! With Bethany, Demar, Dina and Michael.
