OUR CHICKEN HAS A NEW PAIR OF TRAINERS!!!

ALL our amazing volunteers, who cook, cut , peel, pack, and drive are walking to raise much needed funds to enable us to expand this growing initiative, supplying “GOODY BAGS” every Friday, now to over 200 elderly, alone, unwell, recipients all over Essex,  will be walking on Sunday 2nd October 2022. 

Each “Goody Bag” contains a large pot of homemade Chicken soup, a savoury dish, a homemade cake made by our wonderful Sandra Waldman and sponsored by Chigwell Shul, a pot of fresh fruit salad, a challah bread, serviette, fresh fruit, all Made With Love ❤️ By our incredible volunteers and packed on a Thursday from Loughton Synagogue! Then delivered on a Friday morning by our 15 amazing drivers, bringing a wonderful smile to each and every one of our recipients plus a chat on the doorstep, who wait in anticipation for us to arrive each week. 

The phone calls of desperation I get when their bag is late!! 

Albert said: “ when my doorbell rings and the wonderful driver is there with a smile on his face, the only face I see all week, and my “GOODY BAG” full of surprises in his hand, I know it will be a good Shabbat!” 

Every donation given, will enable us to continue to make and deliver  our “Goody Bags” to our ever growing numbers of elderly, alone,  disabled and unwell recipients.
